Marble Surface Cleaning and Restoration Tips and Information

Marbles are prone to stains. So, keep in mind to wipe off any spills right away, just as you would from any other surface. It is advisable to use coasters while placing and serving beverages so that your marble floors remain clean and always look tidy. It is advisable not to place beverages directly on a marble surface.

Make sure you frequently wash and clean your marble surfaces with lukewarm water and wipe dry with a clean cloth. A mild detergent solution along with water can also be used to clean marble surfaces.

Another way of cleaning is by using a thin coat of wax or marble sealer that helps protect the marble surface. Don’t forget to use a colorless wax.

Besides this, commercial marble cleaner and polish can also be used to refresh a dull looking marble surface. You can use putty powder (tin oxide) that deals well with dull marble surfaces. Items such as metal containers and lamps often leave rust stains on marble. At this point, using a commercial rust stain remover is recommended.

While cleaning your marble floors with chemicals, it is recommended to use proper ventilation to remove any harmful fumes.

Make your marble surfaces smile as bright as your own smile!
